Sixth Place For Razgatlioglu After Donington Superstock Race

The fourth round of the 2016 Superstock 1000 FIM Cup was held at Donington Park in the UK on Sunday 29th May, with Ninja ZX-10R rider Toprak Razgatlioglu (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) eventually classified sixth in a sometimes dramatic race.

At the end of the 15-lap Superstock contest in England Razgatlioglu headed a three rider group of Kawasaki entrants. After another rider who had finished ahead of him received a penalty to drop two places Toprak was eventually classified sixth. He had qualified 12th on the grid.

With the penalised rider finally classified just ahead of the next two riders in the order Gregg Black (MTM / HS Kawasaki) was ranked eighth, and just over 0.3 seconds from Toprak. He was a similarly small amount of time ahead of his own team-mate Wayne Tessels (MTM / HS Kawasaki), who finished his day ninth.

With regular rider Bryan Staring (Agro-on Benjan Kawasaki) out through injury Luke Jones rode to a top ten finish at his local circuit.

Assen race podium finisher Jeremy Guarnoni (Pedercini Racing Kawasaki) was taken out of the start of the race by another rider’s stricken machine, luckily escaping injury after his enforced startline fall.

Julian Puffe (Agro-on Benjan Kawasaki) was 12th and well in the championship points. Christophe Ponsson (Pedercini Racing Kawasaki) secured two points for 14th place but David McFadden (Agro-on Benjan Kawasaki) just missed out on scoring by one pace in 16th position. Rob Hartog (Team Hartog Jenik Against Cancer Kawasaki) was 19th in a field of 26 race finishers.

The fifth round of the championship will take place at Misano in Italy on Sunday June 19th.
