The French youngster had earnt a good gate pick with eighth place in qualification, but he had to battle his way through from twenty-second to eighth in the first race after colliding with two other riders at the start. After moving forward impressively to fourth in the second moto he was forced to discard his goggles a couple of laps from the end of the race, the inevitable difficulties with vision costing him two places. He is now tenth in the series standings.
 
Teammate Darian Sanayei found it difficult to settle into as good rhythm during qualification and the resultant unfavourable choice of start gate made it good starts difficult for the two points-scoring races. Making the best of the situation the young American powered through from eleventh to seventh before a fall cost him ten positions and he could only manage thirteenth at the finish. A better start in race two saw him quickly advance from sixth to second but another crash cost three places and he finished the race fourth. He retains third place in the series standings.
 
Hunter Lawrence of Monster Energy CLS Junior Team Green had qualified well in fourth position but crashed early in the first points-scoring race after starting second and the race went from bad to worse as he was hit by two other riders in separate incidents. As a result he needed medical treatment on his knee but bravely returned to action next day for race two, only to encounter yet more misfortune. Initially outside the top ten after a delay when two other riders crashed in his path he chased through to finish fifth, frustratingly just a couple of seconds short of second place. Despite the misfortune the Australian teenager retains second place in the standings at the halfway stage of the series.
 
Nicolas Dercourt: “I earnt a decent gate with an eighth position in the timed practice session, but my start in the first moto was not so good as I collided with two other riders. I came back from twenty-second to eighth, which was not too bad and on Sunday I got a better start in the top fifteen. I found a good rhythm and came through to fourth, but then I lost two positions when I had to take off my goggles. But anyway it’s a good weekend with top ten results and a seventh overall.”
 
Darian Sanayei: “We test both bikes on Saturday but I never felt comfortable, and was only twenty-fifth in qualifying so the weekend didn’t start well as you need to secure a good gate for the races. In the first moto I was on the outside of the gate and came round the first corner in eleventh to move forward to seventh position; a top five was possible but I went down and had to come back again from seventeenth to thirteenth. I was pretty upset; I’m here to win, not to be thirteenth. On Sunday I started in the middle of the gate and got a really good jump; I shifted well but the track was ripped deeper in front of my gate and I was sixth; I moved forward to second but then I made a little mistake, crashed and again had to recover to finish fourth. I’m happy with the way I rode, just unhappy with the mistakes I made.”
 
Hunter Lawrence: “In the first moto I had a good start and was in second position when I crashed in a slippery corner due to the watering and showers. Then I was taken out by another rider, hit my knee pretty bad again, and when I tried to restart my bike I was hit by another rider and had to retire. I went to the doctor on the track and had a strap for the second race; my start was not so bad but a couple of guys crashed in my path so after that I just tried to push as much as I could. It wasn't the results I was expecting this weekend; I just hope to have some good weekends soon.”
